I want to inspire other midlife women to view midlife as this wonderful, sometimes scary, blessing and opportunity that we have to bring about a great shift in our lives! No question – it is definitely a huge physical and emotional shift in our lives – but I view that as positive. This can be an AMAZING time of our lives. We are shifting – but I see myself shifting into this kinder, wiser, more accepting and more creative person. It’s all good!
I want to leap into the fire pit of my life – either the flames will warm and comfort me – or they will burn me up. If they burn me up, I get to start over and make myself authentically into what I choose. I love this great life lesson from Martha Beck!
But it does come with challenges and new adventures. Let’s take them together!

Have you been told in a million different ways that you aren’t good enough? Finding the courage to be vulnerable is, for me, one of the many gifts that midlife places before us. We can choose to accept the gift or decline it.
This is one of my favorite posts I’ve ever written. There’s something surreal about surrendering yourself to a moment and not fighting it. Learning how to stop fighting an awful morning that we were having showed me the magic that could be there just waiting for me to experience it.
Taking the first step toward anything worthwhile takes courage. You won’t always be successful, but you must keep showing up.
