I'm Intentionally Serving Up the Real Version of My Intentional Family
I sometimes feel lonely but I realize that they feel lonely too. Sometimes, they only want to hang out with their friends, grumble about school, or just generally annoy others. And sometimes they want to go to dinner with you, crack you up, or help you with a project around the house.
I constantly remind myself how much I love my two guys. They are having just as hard a time as I am.
I try to gently guide them through the overwhelming emotions with discipline, love, and by simply holding space for them to feel these things.
