The Truth About Self Love - And Why You Deserve It
As I've matured, I've learned more and more the importance of self love in my life and its impact on my relationships. I'll be honest - this is one of my biggest challenges and struggles on a daily basis.
Intentionally showing myself grace and compassion is a way of giving myself a gift of strength. And when I'm strong, I can move forward in my life in all the ways that I desire.
So what is self love or self care? It definitely is not selfish! Having love and respect for yourself means setting healthy boundries that protect you from toxic relationships. It means letting go of that which no longer serves you - both people and things.
A journey or practice of self love, self confidence, and self care can begin with one small step: maybe you offer forgiveness that's over due; begin a practice of gratitude; or create a journal of affirmations or activities that are motivational for you.
